This is a list of 90 '''[[Cardinal (Catholicism)|Catholic Cardinal]]s over the age of 80''' on February 28, 2013, the date of resignation of [[Pope Benedict XVI]].<ref name="Cardinals 2013">{{cite web |url=http://www2.fiu.edu/~mirandas/conclave-xxi.htm#2013 |title=Conclave of March 2013 |publisher=Salvador Miranda |accessdate=1 November 2013}}</ref> As such, they are ineligible to vote in the [[Papal conclave, 2013|Papal conclave]] (beginning March 12, 2013) to elect Benedict's successor.<ref name="Cardinals 2013"/> This list is a sortable list of cardinals.

The youngest cardinal on this list, [[Lubomyr Husar]] of Ukraine, turned 80 only two days before the pope's resignation took effect. He is only seven days older than [[Walter Kasper]] of Germany, the oldest eligible [[Cardinal electors for the papal conclave, 2013|cardinal elector in the conclave]]. Kasper in fact turned 80 shortly before the conclave started, but as he had been summoned to be an elector before that, he was not excluded.
