Controversy
On February 14, 2009 Lewis raised the issue of a global warming controversy with a climate change denial post on Twitter. "It's so sad that smart people don't pay attention to the science that proves global warming is a hoax." Her comments and condescending tone were sharply criticized, notably by fellow radio host and podcaster Leo Laporte who said her statements were inconsistent with overwhelming scientific opinion on climate change. Lewis later reinforced her statement via her blog.
