C. William Hinnant, Jr. MD JD

C. William Hinnant, Jr. MD JD is an American physician, attorney and Principal in the firm of Medicolegal Consultants, LLC. He is a former president of the Semmelweis Society International and presently serves as Associate Counsel for the American College of Legal Medicine. He is GeneRally known for his legal work in the areas of credentialing and peer review litigation, medical malpractice, white collar health crime and health care whistleblower (qui tam) litigation.

Hinnant has authored numerous articles in the medical and legal literature and spoken at a number of prefessional meetings worldwide. He has participated in several congressional forums and written comments for state and national medical organizations in response to notices of proposed rule making by federal agencies. He is a Fellow of the American College of Legal Medicine, presently serving as its Associate Counsel, a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology and is admitted to several state and federal courts, arguing cases at the trial and appellate levels. To date he has represented or advised almost two hundred physicians or physician groups nationwide.
