C & R Decor Arts
Founded in 1997 by Ralph Robbins and Cyril Afanasyev, C & R Decor Arts is a private company in New York City that specializes in custom design and decorative arts. They preserve traditional European methods of Faux finishes, including faux marble (Marbleizing), faux bois (Graining), Venetian Plaster, and Trompe l'oeil. They have also mastered the art of muraling and have created murals for Image Makers Studio in NJ, Cast Classics and Lenox China's Spring and Winter Showroom Events.
Both of the owners were trained in Europe. Ralph Robbins received his degree from the Art Institute of Chicago before honing his craft by studying at the Academie Van DerKelen in Brussels, Belgium, where he was awarded a Bronze Medal from the Institut Superieur de Peinture de Bruxelles. Cyril Afanasyev is a native of St. Petersburg, Russia. He was awarded honors from the Institute for Art Restoration , St. Petersburg and the highly competitive Art and Landscape Exhibition of the USSR in Gorky, Russia.
