BuyerZone
BuyerZone is an online marketplace for business-to-business purchases. The service works similarly to other lead generation web sites such as Resource Nation, LendingTree or ServiceMagic: buyers enter specific information AbOUT themselves and the purchases that they intend to make. BuyerZone then matches them to a set of participating sellers deemed the right fit for the customer. From there the buyer and seller can then work out details of a deal, including everything from service levels to price.
Benefits for buyers include the ability to easily shop for the best prices because they receive multiple bids from competing sellers, while sellers get a source of ready-to-purchase leads.
BuyerZone covers more than 150 different products, from office furniture to telecommunications to construction equipment. Specific examples include payroll services, forklifts, software, phone systems, graphic design, and more. The site also offers independent Buyer's Guides and other articles that provide detailed purchasing information. BuyerZone editorial staff also writes helpful small business articles which can be read elsewhere on the web, such as the BuyerZone article "Avoiding Alarm Scams" published to the Yahoo Small Business website.1
