The '''BRP ''EDSA II'' (SARV-002)''' is the second vessel in the [[San Juan-class patrol boat|San Juan Class]] of Search and Rescue Vessels built by the Australian shipbuilding company of [[Tenix]] for the [[Philippine Coast Guard]] that was commissioned in October of 2000.

==Etymology of the Name==
The ship was named after the historic [[EDSA II|2nd People Power Revolution]] that placed then Philippine Vice-President Gloria Macapacal-Arroyo as the new President of the Republic after then President Joseph Estrada was removed from office due to allegations of graft and corruption.
