History
Founded in 1977 in Alor Setar, Brijnandan Singh Bhar, the firm targeted insurance field focusing on motor insurance claims and criminal cases. The next satellite branch was opened on the Penang Island in 1981, followed by opening of office in Kuala Lumpur in 1991 where it is headquartered today. The firm later started offering services for Intellectual property, constitutional, mergers & acquisitions, taxations, pharmaceutical, criminal, immigration and other areas.
Recognition
Brijnandan Singh Bhar & Co gained an early recognition with cases including QBE Insurance Ltd v Hashim Bin Abdul & Anor in 1980, Hassam Bin Mohamad & Anor v Teoh Kim Seng in 1986. These cases were published in Malaysian newspapers such as New Straits Times, The Malay Mail and other newspapers. It is recognised by legal directory Legal 500.
