History & operations
The company was co-founded in 2021 by Tomas Kovacovsky, Branislav Pulis, and Jan Zizka, who previously were founders of Photoneo. Its robots use simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) for navigation and AI-based software to manage inventory and fulfillment workflows. Technology
Brightpick robots rely on simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) for navigation and use 3D vision and artificial intelligence for object manipulation. The robots are orchestrated using AI-based software that manages real-time inventory, path planning, and fulfillment workflows. The company holds over 20 patents related to its robotic systems, navigation methods, and software architecture.
