Brett Plouffe

Born in 1989 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, Plouffe started attending St. John's-Ravenscourt School in Grade 8, while playing Midget AAA hockey with the Winnipeg Wild. He realized his dream in 2006 when he made the Calgary Hitmen team of the WHL.

Plouffe is a self-described play-making defenceman. He doesn't allow his small stature get in the way of his playing, as he uses his head to get around bigger players.[http://www.hitmenhockey.com/cgi-bin/news/comments.cgi?type=newsroom&file_num=0000000562]He hopes to continue his hockey career in the NHL, preferably with the Toronto Maple Leafs, his favourite team.

He wears number 2 after NHL player Al MacInnis.

International Play

In 2005, Plouffe represented Canada-West at the World Under-17 World Championships held in Regina, Saskatchewan.
