Braulio Moreno

Braulio Moreno Velásquez was a Chilean lawyer and judge who served as president of the Supreme Court from 1922 to 1925.

Judicial career

Moreno pursued a career in the Chilean judiciary, holding several judicial positions before reaching the country's highest court.

Before joining the Supreme Court, Moreno served as a justice of the Court of Appeals of Valparaíso.

He subsequently became a justice of the Supreme Court of Chile. In 1922, Moreno became president of the court, succeeding Gabriel Gaete.

Moreno headed the Supreme Court during a period of considerable political change in Chile, encompassing the final years of the first presidency of Arturo Alessandri and the political events of 1924 and 1925. He remained president of the court until 1925, when he was succeeded by Javier Ángel Figueroa.
