When Boulevard Voltaire was launched, Jamet explained he was aiming at promoting "freedom" such as "freedom of expression, of tone, of speech" and "pluralism" in order to "express opinions that are not necessarily right-thinking and allowed by big publishing conglomerates and political parties".
