Blanka Matković
Blanka Matković (born 30 April 1976) is a Croatian historian and scientist from the University of Warwick. Matković is a co-founder and the president of the Croatian Society of Historians Dr Rudolf Horvat.
Biography
Blanka Matković was born in Split and graduated history and journalism at the University of Zagreb, where she also obtained Master of Science degree in international relations and national security. Later she completed and MPhil degree in the Department of History at the University of Warwick, United Kingdom, where she was studying the war crimes and human rights violations committed by the Communist regime at the end and after the Second World War in Croatia and Slovenia. She is currently doing her Ph.D. in Politics and International Studies at the University of Warwick focusing on Croatian war veterans and their role in Croatian society after the Homeland War (1991-1995).
