Black Watch Indoor Colorguard
The Black Watch Indoor Colorguard is an Independent World Class colorguard unit based out of Mount Laurel, New Jersey.
Once a competitive Drum and Bugle Corps group the now indoor unit has been an annual Winter Guard International Independent World Class Finalist every year since their promotion to the World Class in 2000 with the exception of the 2005 competitive season. The Black Watch was also a WGI Independent A Class Bronze Medal winner in 1992 and a WGI Independent Open Class Bronze Medal Winner in 1999. Their most successful finish in the World Class was 6th Place with their 2003 production of "Two of Both Kinds" set to the music of Rachmaninoff.
They have also been a long-time participant in local circuits such as TIA (Tournament Indoor Association) and MAIN (Mid-Atlantic Indoor Network).
Their most recent show was "Underneath it All" set to Judy Collins' Send In the Clowns where they finished in 10th Place at the 2009 WGI World Championships.
The unit has been under the direction of Mrs. Claudette Wolfrom since its inception. Joe Heininger has been the show designer since the mid-1990s.
