B.J. Woodbury

B.J. Woodbury is a Canadian actor and comedian, best remembered for his role as the head of Possum Lodge maintenance Helmut Wintergarden on the second season of The Red Green Show.

Career

B.J. is a veteran standup comedy performer who has toured extensively across North America since 1985. He is revered for his congenial brand of spicy material. As a comic, Woodbury has worked with some of comedies' best including John Goodman, Sam Kinison, and Howie Mandel. Expanding on his career, Woodbury has also written comedy for Jay Leno, David Letterman, and Conan O'Brien. Woodbury has appeared in such films as Stella with Bette Midler and Shattered Vows with Brian Dennehy.

Woodbury's TV credits include a 2-year stint as the town blacksmith on Road To Avonlea and he was featured regularly as Helmut Wintergarden on The Red Green Show. B.J. can also be seen in Tek Wars, Due South, Maniac Mansion, Top Cops, SCTV, F/X: The Series, War of the Worlds, Twitch City, Friday the 13th and on various commercials through North America. Additionally, Woodbury was recently featured in the Viewer's Choice Pay-Per-View comedy special, Mondo Taboo.
