[[Snowy Owl]] (Xue-Xiao or Xuexiao 雪枭) I is a Chinese [[experimental aircraft|experimental UAV]] developed by [http://page.renren.com/601021103?checked=true Beijing Information Science and Technology University Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Technology Research Association (UAVA, 北京信息科技大学无人航空器技术研究协会)] of [[Beijing Information Science & Technology University]]. Snow Owl I is unique among Chinese UAVs in that for a fixed-wing UAV with conventional layout, it has most numerous engines installed, totaling four. The reason for having four engines is because Snow Owl I is designed as a testbed for micro [[pulse jet engine]],<ref>[http://page.renren.com/601021103/note/778365437 Snow Owl I]</ref> two of which are installed under the wing, while a pair of electrically powered propeller engines are also installed under the wing on outboard pylons as auxiliary and reserve power units.<ref>[http://page.renren.com/601021103/photo/5237796068 Snow Owl I UAV]</ref>
