Biodun Sofuyi

Biodun Sofuyi Olabiyi (born December 26, 1979), commonly known as Omobutty or Biodun Okeowo, is a Nigerian actress, film producer, entrepreneur and philanthropist. Omobutty starred in the 2006 movie Opin Irin Ajo alongside Olu Jacobs and King Wasiu Ayinde. For her movie Tolani Osinrin, she received a MAN's Top Three Actress award in 2010. She is the first Yoruba Artiste ever to clinch the Global Excellence award and she is known for her performances in Yoruba-language Nollywood films, earning recognition for her contributions to the Nigerian film industry and humanitarian causes. Early life and education

Olabiyi was born at Highland Maternity Hospital, Lagos Island, Lagos State, Nigeria. She is the only daughter in a family of five children. Her father was a pastor at the Holy Spiritual Circle Church, and her mother worked as a trader and businesswoman. She completed her tertiary education at Lagos State University, Ojo, where she majored in Communication Studies.

Career

She made the self-produced film Tolani Osinrin in 2007. Her movie Omobutty, another self produced movie, became both critically and popularly acclaimed, earning her the nickname in 2014.
