Billy Kedian
Billy Kedian, Irish soldier, died 31 May 1999.
A native of Ballyhaunis, County Mayo, Kedian was serving in Lebanon as a UNIFIL peacekeeper when he was killed by Israeli-backed milita in Braachit.
Kedian was a member of the 85th Battalion, and had arrived in Lebanon six weeks earlier.
He was buried in his hometown on Monday 7 June 1999, survived by his parents, Doris and Bill, and his sisters Mary and Ann.
