Bergen Oilfield Services
Bergen Oilfield Services AS (BOS) is a Norwegian offshore seismic survey company with a focus on subsea technology commercialisation. BOS owns their three vessels and undertakes the data acquisition through to processing. BOS’s QHSE policies and procedures are developed to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and as an active IAGC member, BOS follows IAGC standards.
History
Since forming in 2006, BOS has grown rapidly with office locations in Bergen and Oslo, Norway; Houston, USA and Singapore. Further to this BOS also has representation in Italy; Chennai, India and Jakarta, Indonesia. In this short time, BOS has refurbished two seismic vessels: BOS Arctic (3D) and BOS Atlantic (2D) and they are operational and delivering services for clients. BOS Angler will be refurbished toward the end of 2008.
BOS has further vessels planned for 2009.
Vessels
BOS Atlantic
BOS Atlantic , is a 2D seismic vessel with one 12,000 m streamer .On 14 May 2008, BOS Atlantic was given its new name by the original godmother Inger Marie Møgster. Directly after the ceremony the vessel set sail to commence its first contract as BOS Atlantic for the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate.
BOS Arctic
BOS Arctic is a 3D seismic vessel with six 8,100 streamers. The vessel was launched in June 2008.
BOS Angler
BOS Arctic is a new type of exploration and imaging vessel in the search for oil and gas globally. The vessel was launched in December 2008.
