Bereket Yohannes

Bereket Yohannes (c. 1979 – 19 January 2006) became the eighth asylum seeker to die at his own hands whilst incarcerated in a United Kingdom detention centre. The 26-year-old Eritrean man was found hanged in the showers in Harmondsworth Immigration Removal Centre at around 5:25 on Thursday 19 January, 2006.
