Berdy Itamba

Berdy Itamba (born 14 September 1998) is a Norwegian footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Djurgårdens IF

He made his debut for the club on 1 November 2014

Club career

Itamba, who played his youth career over Norway, Belgium and now Sweden due to his parents work began training with the Djurgården first team just after arriving at the club in October 2014 after an impressive campaign at the under-17 European Qualifiers in Albania. He also had short training visits to Aston Villa and Manchester United. In November 2014, it was agreed that Itamba would be part of Djurgården's first team in 2015, in a contract that will keep him in the club until 2018.

He made his debut for Djurgården in a match against IFK Norrköping at Tele2 Arena on 1 November 2014, Aged 16.

International career

Itamba played for the Norway national under-17 football team in the under-17 European Qualifiers, against Albania, San Marino and Austria.

Senior

former djurgården and current Norway national team coach Høgmo said when being asked that he and fellow Norwegian wonderkid Ødegaard have a lot of potential to become something big.

Playing style

Itamba's dribbling skills and playmaking ability are reminiscent of players such as Coutinho, Neymar and Mertens.
