Benchmark Systems develops and markets software and technology solutions for healthcare and business applications. Healthcare related products include practice management systems, electronic medical records (EMR, EHR), electronic prescription writing, document management, and telephony systems. Available platforms include web based ASP/SaaS or server based. Their product portfolio also includes an electronic data interchange (EDI) clearinghouse for the electronic transmission of insurance claims and remittance services for the medical industry, as well as a Medical Billing Services division which provides billing and collection services to medical practices.

Products marketed by the Commercial Division include a wide variety of accounting systems that are deployed in either an “in-house” server, or “web-based” ASP/SaaS setting. Network solutions offered by their Network Services Division include consulting, design, implementation and support with products for security, disaster recovery, virtualization, storage and VoIP Telephony.

Benchmark Systems, Inc. employs over 100 individuals in 6 locations, serving more than 2500 end-user clients in the United States. An advanced team includes software support and programming specialists, hardware and networking technicians, marketing, sales and training, and administrative staffs.

Roger H. Green, President established Benchmark Systems in 1978 and since then has led Benchmark on a path of sustained controlled growth opening offices in Charleston, WV, Richmond, VA, Staunton, VA, Charlotte, NC and Durham NC. In the year 2000, the company developed a VAR (Value Added Reseller) network for some of its products and services.
