Beatriz Pécker

Beatriz Pécker (born June 16, 1955 in Madrid) is a Spanish broadcaster.

Pécker is the eldest daughter of Spanish television journalist José Luis Pécker. She joint RTVE in 1977 as a presenter on Radio Nacional and in 1982 she joint Radio 3 and hosted programmes such as Caravana de amigos, La Barraca, Estudio 15-17 and La tarde de todos. Pécker became more populer in the late 1980s when she began hosting shows for TVE, which included the hit TVE show Rockopop. She also became populer as the Spanish commentator for the Eurovision Song Contest which she first handed in 1987 and again in 1988, before taking over as regular commentator between 2004 and 2007. In addition she also commentated for TVE viewers at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2005.

On July 22, 2007 Pécker announced she was retiring from radio and television after 30 years on the air.
