Baroque Japan Limited
Baroque Japan Limited is a retailer of young women's fashion apparel and accessories in Japan. As at 31 January 2016, it has 336 stores in Japan, 136 stores in China, and 7 stores in Hong Kong. Baroque’s MOUSSY brand received tremendous success in China, the Beijing Xidan Joycity 150-square-metre store recorded total monthly sales of approximately HK$3.5 million (or US$0.45 million).
Selena Gomez and Amuro Namie are fans of MOUSSY. Fashion and portrait photographer Terry Richardson has done a number of campaigns for MOUSSY. Baroque Japan Limited has been a regular participant of Tokyo Girls Collection.
In 2013, private equity fund CDH Investments and Chinese footwear retailer Belle International took a 23% and 32% stake in the company.
In November 2016, it was listed on the first section (large cap companies) of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
