Barbu Mihai

Barbu Mihai (born 9 March 1971) is a Romanian football manager, goalkeeping coach and a former footballer who is the current goalkeeping coach of Al-Oruba SC in the Oman Professional League.

Playing career

During his playing career he enjoyed successful stays with FCM Dunărea Galați, FC Viitorul, FC Oțelul Galați, FC Cetatea Suceava, FC Farul Constanța, CSM Focșani, CS Inter Gaz București and FC Gloria Buzău. He made his debut in the Liga I, Romania's primary football competition, for FC Oțelul Galați on 21 June 1992 in a 1-0 win over FC Inter Sibiu.

Managerial career

Barbu holds the UEFA Pro Licence, the highest football coaching qualification.

Romania

He had a successful managerial career, both as the manager and goalkeeping coach, in Romania with FC Astra Ploiești U-20, FC Astra Ploiești, CS Otopeni and FC Gloria Buzău.

Oman

He first moved out of Romania as a goalkeeping coach manager in 2014 to Sur, Oman, a coastal town of Oman where he was appointed as the goalkeeping coach of Al-Oruba SC.
