Baltic Ground Services
Baltic Ground Services is a regional group of ground handling companies proving a full range of ground handling and fueling services. It is a part of Avia Solutions Group. Baltic Ground Services develops its activities in airports of Lithuania, Latvia and Poland.
History
Baltic Ground Services was established on September 15, 2005. It became a part of Avia Solutions Group as of November, 2008 when it was acquired from investment company Invalda.
Business activities
The main directions of activity of Baltic Ground Services are:
- Passenger services (passenger check-in, boarding, ground transportation, baggage handling, etc.)
- Flight ticket sales
- Cargo handling
- Aircraft handling (ASU, de-icing and anti-icing, moving of aircraft, cleaning and washing of aircraft, etc.)
- Aircraft re-fuelling
The company provides ground handling services to the Small Planet Airlines, Finnair, Aer Lingus, LOT, Brussels Airlines, Skyways, DHL and others.
Certification
On December 18, 2007 Bureu Veritas Certification issued a certificate for Baltic Ground Services, which shows that the company management corresponds to ISO 9001:2000 / LST EN ISO 9001:2001 standard.
In May 2009 The International Air Transport Association (IATA) awarded Baltic Ground Services the IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO) Registration. Baltic Ground Services was the first company in Europe and 10th in the world to receive such a certificate.
Baltic Ground Services also received the IATA Fuel Quality Pool (IFQP) recognition indicating that into-plane fuelling operations are operated to high quality control and safety standard. The recognition was received in October 2009 after inspection, which was performed on behalf of the airlines members of the IATA Fuel Quality Pool.
