Baird Island (Alaska)
Baird Island is a small, uninhabited island located in Sitka City and Borough, Alaska, United States. It lies off the southeastern coast of Alaska in the Pacific Ocean, near Baranof Island, and is part of Alaska's minor coastal islands.

Geography
Baird Island is a rocky, low-lying islet. It appears on U.S. Geological Survey topographic maps of the Sitka area. Coordinates: 56°54′00″ N, 135°33′00″ W. Elevation is approximately 7 meters (23 feet) above sea level.
Environment
Like other small coastal islands in southeastern Alaska, Baird Island features rocky shorelines, coastal vegetation, and surrounding marine waters that support seabirds, fish, and other marine species. The climate is maritime, with cool temperatures and frequent precipitation.
