Babar (clan)

Babar is the surname of elite Deshmukh Maratha clan among 96 clans of their Royalties.Babar clan exists numerously in Maharashtra,viz. Satara,Pune district regions and now a days spreaded outside Maharashtra.

Origine of Babar Clan can be found in Maratha Histories Myth Culture.Morever,they renowned as Deshmukh clan.They also holds titles like Patil,Sardar,jamindar etc. Due to unilluminated history of Maratha clans prior king Shivaji Bhosale much was not known AbOUT them.still,they are among pure maratha kshatriyas and part of 96 clan structure. They were noblemens in their regions of Moghal as that of their castmates.Later they took ACTIVE part in Maratha Empire creation in India.
