Baba Beji

Baba Beji (Adedapo Adewale Ishola) is a Nigerian content creator, entrepreneur and pumping machine engineer. He is the founder of EMPIRE FLOW, a business involved in the repair and servicing of pumping machines.

Biography

Baba began his content-creation career in 2020 during the COVID-19 lockdown while he was a secondary school student. Before he began creating content professionally, his friends, classmates and teachers reportedly encouraged him to pursue content creation because of his ability to entertain people and make them laugh.

In 2022, after completing secondary school, Beji temporarily reduced his content-creation activities because of financial challenges associated with continuing his education. He decided to learn a practical skill that could provide him with an income and subsequently trained in the repair and servicing of pumping machines.

After beginning to earn income from the trade, he purchased his own smartphone. Before then, he had relied on friends’ phones to record his videos. He subsequently resumed creating content while continuing his work as a pumping machine engineer.

Beji has discussed the pressures associated with content creation, including the effect of low views and audience engagement after investing time and effort into developing, filming and editing content.

Engineering and EMPIRE FLOW

Following his secondary education, Beji trained in pumping machine repair and servicing and began working as a pumping machine engineer.

He later founded EMPIRE FLOW, a business focused on the repair and servicing of pumping machines. Through the business, he has continued working in the technical field alongside his career as a content creator.
