B. Bradford Brown
Bradford Brown is Professor of Educational Psychology1 in the School of Education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Since joining the UW-Madison faculty in 1979, Brown has become an authority on adolescent peer relations, particularly the formation and functioning of adolescent peer groups. He has written or edited 5 scholarly volumes on various aspects of adolescent development. Brown is past Editor of the Journal of Research on Adolescence. He has served on the Executive Council of the Society for Research on Adolescence and was co-organizer of the 1999 SRCD Peer Relations Preconference. His teaching has won recognition as one of the University's best instructors from both the Wisconsin Student Association and the University's Pan-Hellenic / Intrafraternity Council.
Brown also is Faculty Associate in the Wisconsin Center for Education Research2 and a member of the University's Institute on Aging. He teaches courses on adolescent development, adult development and aging, lifespan approaches to human development, and social and personality development.
