Azusa Sakamoto

Azusa Sakamoto (born November 15, 1981), also known by her YouTube handle Azusa Barbie, is a Japanese YouTuber and professional Manicurist based in West Hollywood, California. Her videos center around her Barbie doll collecting and lifestyle vlogging centered around the doll and the brand.

Life and Career

Sakamoto is globally recognized as one of the world's most dedicated Barbie fans, collectors, and influencers, having spent over $100,000 on the dolls and memorabilia. With hundreds of dolls in her collection, Sakamoto has one of the largest Barbie collections in the United States.

Sakamoto's collecting first began when she visited the United States at age 15 as a foreign exchange student in Indiana as a Junior High School Student, and came across a Barbie Lunchbox, the first item she would add to her collection, which soon grew to contain hundreds of dolls, clothing (including 150+ Barbie T-shirts, 40+ pairs of shoes, and 60+ purses), and accessories. Her house has even been customized to resemble a Barbie Dreamhouse, with Barbie-themed pink furniture, Barbie-themed kitchen, and even a Barbie-themed bathroom with toilet.

Outside of her YouTube career, Sakamoto also works as a professional manicurist and nail artist, with her station being in her very own home, and her portfolio of nail work being posted on her official blog. Her clients have included celebrities like Zendaya, Betsey Johnson, and Katie Cassidy.
