Ayala Hasson-Nesher

Ayala Hasson-Nesher (; born September 28, 1961) is an Israeli television personality and journalist, and one of the major political commentators of Israeli public channel 1 (IBA).

Hasson started her journalist career as a Criminal law correspondent, and there after was appointed a political reporter on Israeli public channel 1. Today she serves as the main correspondent for political affairs on that channel, as the presenter of the weekend primetime "Yoman" news and current AFFAIR Magazine program, as well as the radio broadcaster of the veteran radio political talk show "Hakol Diburim" of IBA's radio Kol Yisrael.

Hasson became known for numerous influential known stories she reported. Among others, 1997 "Bar-On-Hebron", which shook the political system in current Israeli Prime Minister first term, in which she reported that the nominee to the AG, Roni Bar-On, allegedly was part of a political deal with Shas party to later dismiss the Shas influential political point man, Aryeh Deri from charges against him, when AG Bar-On would be appointed. In addition, in 2004, she reported then Knesset Member Yosef Paritzky's tapes recording him, allegedly, in an attempt to make (up) a case against then KM Avraham Poraz, both from Shinui party;

Towards the elections of 2006, Hasson and Ben Caspit presented a lead-up program "Israel votes" on Channel 1, in addition to her daily work as the main political affairs reporter. In 2008, the pair became the presenters of the weekend Primetime News magazine "Yoman".

In 2009, she became the first woman to receive the "Queen of the Desert award for women empowerment". The veteran old-project sent women on challenging journeys, and then granted "leading and pioneering woman in the Israeli society, that their work and activities assist the empowerment of women and promoting women in self-realization and in breaking the BOUNDARIES of gender".

Hasson is married to the Israeli Television producer, and talent agent, Shai Nesher, and mother of two.
