ASPP
ASPP Co., Ltd. () is a Japanese trading company founded on 21 November 2011. Originally incorporated as Asia Speciality Pulp and Paper Co., Ltd., the company adopted its current name in May 2017. Its headquarters are located in Shinjuku, Tokyo, and it also maintains an office in Tochigi Prefecture.
The company is engaged primarily in Sino-Japanese trade, specializing in the import of industrial raw materials and equipment from Japan. Its product portfolio includes solid polymer capacitor paper, aluminum electrolytic capacitor insulation paper, battery separator paper, hemp pulp, cotton pulp, oil applicators, steel sheet counters, and industrial inspection equipment. The company has also expanded into the development of biodegradable materials in Japan, including recyclable and biodegradable food packaging materials and textile raw materials.
History
ASPP was established on 21 November 2011 under the name Asia Speciality Pulp and Paper Co., Ltd. The company was renamed ASPP Co., Ltd. in May 2017. It opened a Tochigi office in September 2021 and relocated its headquarters to the Shinjuku Kuwabara Building in Tokyo in April 2023. In September 2021, ASPP established its Tochigi office. In April 2023, it relocated its headquarters to the Shinjuku Kuwabara Building in Shinjuku, Tokyo.
On 24 February 2026, the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China announced that ASPP Co., Ltd. was among twenty Japanese entities placed on its "watch list" after authorities were unable to verify the end users and end uses of certain dual-use items. The decision was issued pursuant to the Export Control Law of the People's Republic of China and the Regulations on Export Control of Dual-Use Items of the People's Republic of China.
