Ash Trevino

Ashley Nicole Lopez-Trevino (born 1988–1989), known online as Ash Trevino, is an American social media personality and singer from Texas. She has built a large following on Instagram, Snapchat, and previously TikTok, drawing attention and criticism for content centered on her personal relationships, particularly her publicly stated preference for dating incarcerated men, a pattern she has referred to as "inmate hopping," as well as commentary on her parenting and various public disputes. In late 2025 and early 2026, Trevino was arrested twice in Ellis County, Texas, first on felony fraud warrants and later for an alleged bond violation.

Trevino has lived in Corpus Christi, Texas, and also in Ellis County, Texas.

Career

Trevino built her online following by posting lifestyle content, initially gaining prominence on TikTok, where her original account reportedly reached roughly one million followers before disappearing. She has continued to post on Instagram and Snapchat, where her combined following exceeds 500,000. According to The Michigan Daily, Trevino worked at a dental office prior to her livestreaming career, before her live streams became her primary source of income. Her content has frequently generated controversy, including her public relationships with incarcerated or recently incarcerated men, remarks about her children's living arrangements, and public disputes with other social media figures and in locations she has visited.

YouTuber Cam Kirkham Reacts, whose channel has more than 208,000 subscribers, referred to Trevino as the "craziest inmate hopper" and said she has been frequently criticized for her treatment of her children. Responding to criticism in a TikTok video posted November 18, 2024, Trevino said she did not need "acceptance" from detractors and argued that negative attention only grew her platform; in the same video, she said the public should not concern itself with her children's belongings or how she spends her money.

On December 24, 2024, Trevino, alongside Santos and Honey X Gould, was featured on MsGold's single "Nunu" (stylized in all caps), marking her debut in music. The track went viral for its explicit lyrics, with the word "nunu" widely interpreted online as a euphemism for female genitalia. Its lyrics have also been interpreted as referencing a romantic relationship between Trevino and Santos, who have since separated. In 2026, a sped-up version of the song was released.

San Antonio incidents

Trevino has repeatedly drawn media attention during visits to San Antonio. In mid-January 2025, Trevino and a group she was traveling with were seen at North Star Mall and in downtown San Antonio; a video of the mall appearance reportedly received several million views. On January 13, 2025, San Antonio police responded to a reported disturbance involving a firearm at a restaurant in the Medical Center area, after restaurant staff said a large group had become confrontational; officers detained several individuals in the group, who were found to be carrying firearms. Those arrested for unlawful carrying of a weapon included Josiah Kane De La Fuente (known online as "Dkane"), Raymundo Constantino, Desiree Zertuche, and an unidentified 22-year-old man. Trevino said in a TikTok livestream that she paid to bond De La Fuente and others out of jail, and separately posted content referring to De La Fuente as "my baby." Other TikTok users additionally circulated video alleging Trevino was confronted by two women along the River Walk, and footage showing her group surrounded by police in downtown San Antonio on a separate occasion.

Trevino returned to San Antonio in late April 2025 to attend Fiesta events, a visit she and outlets described as comparatively uneventful; in an Instagram video from the trip, she said she retrieved her purse from local police, which had reportedly been left behind following her January visit. She visited San Antonio again in mid-May 2025, when she was seen shopping at La Cantera alongside fellow content creators Brianna Olson (known online as "wildchildbre") and Santos, who had a combined following of more than three million. MySA reported no further incidents from that visit.

By May 2025, Trevino's following had grown to nearly 700,000 on TikTok and more than 134,000 on Instagram, up from roughly one million TikTok followers and 91,000 Instagram followers reported in January 2025.

In May 2026, Trevino drew renewed attention after criticizing the city of San Antonio during a livestream, telling viewers she disliked visiting because of how some residents behaved, while praising other Texas cities such as Corpus Christi, Houston, Galveston, and Ennis. She has also previously been connected to the January 2025 incident described above, in which members of a group she was with were arrested for unlawful firearm possession following a disturbance near the city's Medical Center area.

Reception

Trevino's livestreamed conduct, particularly toward her children and regarding her relationships with incarcerated men, has drawn criticism from student and youth media. In a March 2025 opinion piece for The Michigan Daily, columnist Liv Frey wrote that Trevino had been the subject of numerous Children's Protective Services cases, and described incidents Frey said Trevino discussed on livestream, including admitting to mistreating her eldest daughter and leaving her children in another person's care while she was involved in an altercation at a bar. Frey also criticized Trevino's publicized relationships with incarcerated men, several of whom Frey said had been imprisoned for violent offenses, and argued that continued audience attention and monetary support for Trevino's content — through platform payouts and livestream gifts — incentivized the behavior rather than discouraged it.

Online virality

Trevino's rapid growth on TikTok — reportedly reaching around one million followers within roughly a week of going viral in late 2024 — was noted by commentators, including a contributor to the Medium publication The Mushroom Post, who observed that her popularity was not tied to any particular skill or talent.

In late January 2025, Trevino drew further attention after a partially [...] photograph she had posted to her Instagram account circulated widely on X. The Express Tribune reported that commentators, including YouTuber Salem Tovar, had also accused Trevino of exaggerating or fabricating aspects of her personal life, including a claimed pregnancy.

December 2025 arrest

On the evening of December 17, 2025, Trevino was arrested outside her home in Venus, Texas, after a police officer recognized her and confirmed she had active felony warrants issued by the Ellis County Sheriff's Office. Venus Police Chief James Groom said the arrest occurred without incident, and Trevino was transported to the Ellis County Jail for booking. She was released after posting a $15,000 bond.

The warrants stemmed from allegations covering a period from May 2019 to July 2024. One count accused Trevino of using deception to obtain SNAP and Medicaid benefits from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, with the alleged value of the fraud placed between $2,500 and $30,000; a second count alleged she concealed additional income to receive Medicaid benefits she was not entitled to. Both charges were filed as state jail felonies, the lowest felony classification under Texas law, carrying potential sentences of six months to two years GeneRally served without eligibility for early parole.

Following her release, Trevino posted on social media, telling followers she intended to contest the charges and had retained an attorney. In one clip, she said she planned to visit a casino and remarked that she dated inmates rather than being one herself.

March 2026 arrest

Trevino was arrested a second time on March 4, 2026, after prosecutors alleged she had violated the conditions of her bond by drinking alcohol on one occasion and purchasing alcohol on another. According to reporting, prosecutors said they became aware of the alleged violations after Trevino posted images of herself drinking at a birthday party and a receipt showing an alcohol purchase at a restaurant. Her legal team denied that she had violated her bail conditions.

Trevino was booked into the Ellis County Jail on a judge's commitment order and released the same day. Her original bond was revoked and a new bond of $25,000 was set, along with continued prohibitions on possessing or using alcohol, controlled substances, or firearms. Additional reported conditions included a curfew between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. enforced by an ankle monitor, a ban on entering establishments that primarily serve alcohol, participation in a pretrial supervision program with random drug and alcohol testing, and an order not to discuss the case on social media.

Public image

Trevino has been described by multiple outlets as a polarizing and controversial figure, drawing scrutiny for livestreaming from a hospital with her daughter, comments about not having beds for her children, and posts involving convicted felons around her children. A previous livestream in which she discussed driving under the influence reportedly resulted in temporary bans from several social media platforms.
