Arvind Kumar Agrawal

Arvind Kumar Agrawal (born 18 April 1954) is the first Vice Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi Central University Bihar (MGCUB) at Motihari. He joined the university on 3 February 2016. He is a leading Indian sociologist and Vice-president of International Sociological Association's Research Committee on Sociology of Law.

He did his doctoral research at Heidelberg University, Germany on “Max Weber and Modern Sociological Theory”.

Prior to joining MGCUB, he served as Dean, School of Fine Arts & Art Education & Controller of Examinations at Central University of Himachal Pradesh.

Earlier he was Professor & Head, Department of Sociology, & Hony. Director, Centre for the Study of Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy at University of Rajasthan, Jaipur.
