Army Stadium (Peshawar)

Army Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium located in Peshawar, North-West Frontier Province, Pakistan.

Basically built for the sports activities of Pakistan Army in Peshawar city. The name has currently changed to “Sher Khan Shaheed Stadium” after Kargil War.

It’s also being managed for events and extra curriculum activities. At the entrance you would find some fine dine restaurants, one among them is Pizza Hut.

The stadium also accommodates the theme park and shops. If you fancy a few rides, it got Dragon Boat, with a 360' degree swing and many more small rides to choose from. A nicely planned canal runs through between the park and the stadium retails, but is not of clean water.

While time has passed some improvement has been seen but one would not feel the shopping adventure it had in mid to end nineties. 80% shops has emerged into food outlets, it was said earlier that if one could not find the music albums in the city one would definitely find it in Army Stadium’s shops.

The administration needs to encourage the shop owners again to bring that shopping adventure it had.
