ARLA Propertymark
ARLA Propertymark (formerly Association of Residential Letting Agents or ARLA) is a professional body for individuals working in residential property lettings and management in the United Kingdom.
ARLA Propertymark was formed in 1981 and grew particularly as the private rented sector grew over the past 10 years. It is a professional and regulatory body solely concerned with residential letting agents in the UK and is a part of Propertymark.
Membership
ARLA Propertymark represents over 9,000 members. Their members operate to professional standards that are higher than the law demands and they campaign for greater regulation in this growing sector of the property market. By using an ARLA Propertymark Protected agent, consumers have the peace of mind their agent will provide a professional service and their money is safeguarded by Propertymark’s Client Money Protection scheme.

Propertymark launched in February 2017 combining Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA), National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA), National Association of Valuers and Auctioneers (NAVA), Institution of Commercial Business Agents (ICBA), Association of Professional Inventory Providers (APIP) and NFoPP Awarding Body into a single brand in order to achieve a greater consumer awareness. Propertymark unites the know-how and experience of these five leading membership organisations to promotes professionalism and integrity within the property industry.
Complaints/Discipline
Propertymark has its own complaints and disciplinary procedures so that any dispute is dealt with efficiently and fairly. Where necessary, suitable sanctions are imposed on the member.
