Overview
Using AOS™, a vendor-agnostic, closed-loop intent-based network distributed operating system, Apstra enables its clients to lower delivery time for network services, network outages, and costs. AOS is subscription-based and allows networking teams to create, implement, and manage both overlay and underlay as one integrated system. By defining an “intent” for a given network, network engineers are able to create a Self-Operating Network capable of configuring, defending, and fixing itself. Apstra shipped AOS in July 2016.
In July 2017, Apstra announced a partnership with Tokyo Electron Device (TED) to distribute Apstra’s networking solutions to the Japanese market as well as to gain support from TED’s system integrator capabilities.
In September 2017, Apstra was announced as a winner at the IoT, Cloud & Cybersecurity Innovation Awards 2017 as the Hot Start-Up for the Cloud/Datacenter category.
