Anshelle

Anshelle are a Swiss pop rock band from Bern, Switzerland founded in 1998.

History

Between 2002 and 2009 Anshelle released 3 albums: Part of the Game, Rewind Please and Betty's Garden. With the album Part of the Game Anshelle supported DJ Bobo in 2003/2004. The song "Go Girl" of the record Part of the Game was number 1 in Belarus.

After major changes (the label, management and producer left) the band reinvented themselves and released the sophomore record Rewind Please in 2007 with co-producer Gert Stäuble (Züri West). The album entered the Swiss album charts at #74 and the single "Little Mountain" the Swiss single charts at #65. Anshelle was awarded "Swiss Top Band" of the month September 7 and won 2 awards at the Toronto Exclusive Magazine Award 07 for "Best International Pop Song" (Rewind Please) und "Best International Pop Band". After an extensive club- and festival tour through Switzerland the band also released their album in the UK through Urban Angel Music and went on a promotion tour through Northern Ireland in February 2008.

In 2009 the band produced the record Betty's Garden with co-producer Steve Lyon and Gert Stäuble (Züri West). The album entered the Swiss album charts at #31 and the singles "Crossroads" and "Secret Garden" were released in the same year. The band again went on a big club- and festivaltour through Switzerland playing major festivals at the Montreux Jazz Festival, Hoch-Ybrig Openair and Gampel Open Air. In 2010 the EP Good Days with 2 remixes by Monsieur Morphologue and producer team [...]&klein as well as 2 remixes of the songs "Crossroads" (Beatblaster S. remix) and "Slightly Underdressed" ([...]&klein) plus a special mix of the song "Little Mountain" was released. In 2010 the German internovela Julia & Julia (release: autumn 2010) will be featuring the song 'Stereophonic Girlfriends' as title song of the internet soap. The band won the Toronto Exclusive Magazine Award in 2010 for "Best International Rock Album".
