Anna Dibaba (born 26 October 1999) is an Ethiopian long-distance runner who competes in both road and track events. She is part of Ethiopia's prominent Dibaba family of athletes, which includes her sisters Tirunesh Dibaba, Genzebe Dibaba, and Ejegayehu Dibaba—all Olympic or world championship medalists.

Career

Dibaba has competed internationally in both road and track events. In October 2024, she recorded a personal best of 2:23:56 at the Amsterdam Marathon, placing among the leading finishers.

She started the 2025 season strong, finishing fourth at the Houston Marathon in January with a time of 2:26:49.

In 2023, she finished fourth at the Houston Half Marathon with a time of 1:09:22.

She also took part in U.S. road races that year, including the Cherry Blossom 10 Mile Run in Washington, D.C., where she ran 54:31, and the Cooper River Bridge Run 10K in Charleston, South Carolina, clocking 32:37.

On the track, Dibaba ran 16:24.85 in the 5000 metres at the 63rd Annual Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, California, in April 2023.

Personal life

Dibaba was born in Bekoji, Oromia Region, Ethiopia, a town widely known for producing elite distance runners. She is the younger sister of Tirunesh Dibaba, Genzebe Dibaba, and Ejegayehu Dibaba. Her cousin is Derartu Tulu, Ethiopia's first female Olympic gold medalist and a pioneering figure in women's distance running.
