Ann Rea(1964-),born Elizabeth Ann Rea in Cleveland, Ohio), is an artist most widely known for her paintings of California Vineyards.

Rea received a classic art education and graduated in 1987 from the Cleveland Institute of Art (founded in 1882) with a major in Industrial Design.

San Francisco-based artist Ann Rea, The California Painter, has a rapidly growing national artistic reputation, and her inspiring personal story and her art has been featured on “Fine Living” and in Fortune magazine.

Rea started using painting as an active mediation to alleviate anxiety. Soon after collectors consistently commented that her paintings made them feel happy and calm. Ann has pursued advanced study of neuro-feedback, medically assisted mediation, and it informs her work.

Rea has painted in several of California’s American Viticulture Areas, including: Los Carneros, Napa Valley, Livermore Valley, Sonoma Coast, Shenandoah Valley, Sonoma Valley, Dunnigan Hills, Alexander Valley, Yountville, Dry Creek, and the Central Valley.

Internationally renowned artists Wayne Thiebaud and Gregory Kondos commend her art. Rea’s paintings have been exhibited in galleries throughout California, New Mexico, and France.

Rea has dual citizenship (United States, United Kingdom).
