Anime fan parody

Anime fan parody is a form of fanfiction using parody made by anime fans (these fans are sometimes called otaku, though in Japan this term is considered to be derogatory). Some forms of anime fan parody include: fandub, fansub, and the trailer (film)

The Abridged Series

A number of parodies have been created where only selected scenes in a single episode are kept, leaving around six minutes for each episode and then dialogue is dubbed over with the creator's own scripted parody. They are usually named "(Series Title): The Abridged Series". This style was first used by the user LittleKuriboh, who developed the abridged Yu-Gi-Oh! series. Out of all the abridged series, this one is considered by some to be the most popular.
