Animal Advertising Center
Animal Advertising Center, founded in 2011, is a private international organization that connects animal lovers to animals and animal-related products through a planned exhaustive and complete online Kingdom Animalia directory and online advertising medium. This online directory model offers advertising options including classified and display advertising for animal suppliers and animal-related products. The full Kingdom Animalia listings, as well as the hierarchal search methods allow advertisers to reach specific target markets precisely and less expensively than traditional advertising. This search functionality also means that people can search for a specific type of animal and get animal-specific information without having to sort through other closely related or even non-related animals. The website search engine also allows searches for animal information within specific countries, states, counties, cities, and postal codes.
Wild animal and domestic animal lovers alike are able to search the online directory to find specific suppliers or products related to their exact need. Advertisers are able to better connect with buyers of their products due to the hierarchal and close search matches. Since the animals are listed in proper taxonomic rank, the advertisers are able to easily determine which pages to advertise instead of advertising to a broad population.
Philanthropy
Advocates for Animal Rescue and animal preservation, the organization strives to donate 60-70% portion of the company’s net profits to organizations whose missions support animal rescue and animal preservation.
Location
Animal Advertising Center is headquartered in Grants Pass, OR, USA. The co-founders are Clare Frazeur and Winfield S. Frazeur IV a professional photographer with over 55 years of experience capturing moments with American presidents like John F. Kennedy and George W. Bush; and international events like photographing Russian ships carrying missiles to Cuba in 1962 during the Cuban Missile Crisis; the Running of the Bulls in Spain; and artifacts in Denmark among others.
Campaign
The first campaign for Animal Advertising Center, LLC includes making contributions to four separate non-profit animal organizations to help the displaced, starving, and injured animals as a result of the March 11, 2011 Japan earthquake and tsunami. Domestic animals have been left behind and wild animals, possibly including some listed as endangered or threatened, have also been affected by the catastrophe. Unfortunately, animal rescuers cannot get into these areas and consequently, information on what animals have been affected and what animals need assistance cannot be made.
Helping the orphaned and displaced orangutans in Sumatra and Borneo and Project Piaba in Brazil are the next focus for Animal Advertising Center’s philanthropic activities. Helping to preserve the rainforests will provide the Brazilian people with alternative subsistence methods to [...] and burning down the rainforests, which endangers the orangutans. There are as many as 600 orphaned and displaced orangutans in one rescue center alone. According to Orangutan Outreach, the orangutan is the only non-human great ape left in Asia, but due to all the threats against them their chances of survival is quickly diminishing. In Borneo, there are an estimated 50,000 left. Saving orangutans is built on the premise of protecting and preserving the rainforest so their habitat and life cycle may continue. Sumatran orangutans are considered critically endangered and the Borneo orangutans are in the endangered category.
Notable Contributions
Prior to the official launch of the Animal Advertising Center, the co-owners, Winfield and Clare Frazeur made an initial donation of $1,000 from the company start-up budget to kick off the donations for the animals that have been overlooked in the 2011 Japan earthquake and tsunami catastrophes. The $1,000 donation is divided evenly between four separate non-profit groups that already have an animal rescue effort in the affected areas of Japan.
Charities
Animal Advertising Center, LLC seeks to support the entire animal kingdom through animal preservation and animal rescue. With a strict requirement for non-profit organizations to provide at least 90% of their operating budget to fulfill their missions, Animal Advertising Center selects the charities they work with very carefully.
With so many animals displaced and starving to death as a result of the March 11, 2011 earthquake and tsunami in Japan, Animal Advertising Center acted quickly by making a donation to four non-profit organizations already serving the animals impacted by the disasters. In addition to this monetary donation, Animal Advertising Center also released a press release alerting the general public to the needs of the animals in Japan and requested others make donations to these organizations.
