Ani Rodríguez
Ana Rodríguez Sarmiento (born 7 September 1989, Lima), is a Peruvian singer, best known for being finalist of imitation and singing reality television series Yo soy, which characterized soul singer Amy Winehouse.
Career
Rodríguez began to pay tribute to Amy Winehouse with her band "Addicted band" since 2009 in various music venues in Lima.
On April 2012, after passing an audition, she began his participation in the singing competition and imitation Yo soy (first season) of Frecuencia Latina characterizing Winehouse. Her first appearance on the program was Trending topic on Twitter.
After two and a half months of competition, Rodríguez was the finalist in the last episode. Due to its imitation of Amy, Rodriguez was contacted by musician Robin Banerjee "Burnin 'Bobby B'", guitarist of Winehouse, who expressed his support for the competition and their desire to come to Lima to do a concert with her.
She told the press that will soon start recording their new album with her band.
On July 23, 2012, Rodriguez will sing with Robin Barnejee in Lima. The concert will mark the first year of the death of Winehouse.
