Andy Hall (photographer)

Andy Hall, based in London, has been a freelance photographer since 1989 and specialises in portraits and documentary. His editorial commissions have appeared in numerous newspapers and magazines including The Observer, The Guardian and The Sunday Telegraph. He has also contributed to various exhibition and book projects including the major outdoor tsunami exhibition on the South Bank in London called After The Wave: The Tsunami Remembered and in group exhibitions on Angola and South Africa during the apartheid years. Andy's photographs have also appeared in books on Muhammad Ali, including Muhammad Ali: The Glory Years plus a special book project on Canada titled Montréal: The Quest for a Metropolis and in the British press photography anthology Five Thousand Days: Press Photography in a Changing World.

His latest work is a project on Scotland, entitled A Sense of Belonging to Scotland: The Favourite Places of Scottish Personalities. The project, now a book, was described by Ewan McGregor as "the most beautiful collection of photographs of Scotland that I have ever seen!" The project was also used by the First Minister of Scotland, Jack McConnell, on an official visit to China. The project was followed by two further book releases, A Sense of Belonging to Scotland: Further Journeys and A Sense of Belonging to Scotland: Complete Collection.
