Andrés Bustamante

Andrés Bustamante (el güiri güiri) is a Mexican comedian, who works at TV Azteca, and dubbed the voices of Mike Wazowski, in the film Monsters, Inc.

Although he is a freelance artist, his most known body of TV work has been with TV Azteca (previously State-owned Imevision). His work include children's show "Los Cuentos del Espejo", and mutli-character sketch format shows "Entre Amigos", "Sin Tornillos" and "El Güiri Güiri". It was the latter that made him popular among the Mexican TV viewers.

He is known for the variety of his characters, among them Ponchito, El Dr. Chung-Ga, Horacio Cascarín, Pepino Moretoni, and has authored two books: ¿Y yo por que? (Why me?) and ¿Por que yo no? (Why not me).

According to some polls he is considered the best contemporary Mexican comic, and is second only to Cantinflas overall.

He usually appears with José Ramón Fernández during World Cups and Olympic Games. He had started a cable TV show called Ponchivision, with several and varied comedic programs, including his own, but was left out of the air due to low ratings.

He is also a friend and collaborator of the cartoonist Trino.
