Anders de Flon

Anders de Flon (born 3 August 1983 in Stockholm, Sweden). is a Swedish creative advisor, graphic designer and industrial designer notable for his minimalistic and experimental collaborations with John Pawson, Rei Kawakubo and Jil Sander. Founder of Deflon, a Creative & Advising venture, based in Stockholm.

He has no formal design education (studied Philosophy & Economics), instead he made several old fashioned Grand Tours, by bicycle. Mentioned places visited: Amsterdam, Athens, Berlin, Dessau, Milan, Munich, Paris, Rome, Venice & Vienna.

Collaborated with Stanley Kubrick on a typeface and graphic elements for the movie A.I. (1999).

Anders de Flon is known for being very selective in choosing collaborators. There are several stories AbOUT large companies that have been declined his services due to his disbelief in their products or corporate visions. This has probably led to the relative low recognition of his influence in contemporary design and branding.

He is also known as a expert in sense branding and scent branding and is often hired as a speaker and advisor to companies like: Adidas, Toyota and Hermès.
