Founded in 2021, the company is headquartered in New York City and operates a research and development center in Israel. Background

Anchor was founded in 2021 by Rom Lakritz (CEO), Leeor Aharon (CTO), and Omry Man (CRO). The company emerged from stealth mode in December 2021 with the announcement of its seed funding round.

Platform

Anchor develops a platform for managing B2B billing and collections processes. The system enables service providers and their clients to formalize agreements through a digital interface, replacing static contract formats with structured, online workflows.

The platform automates accounts receivable functions, including invoice generation, payment collection, and transaction reconciliation. According to industry coverage, it integrates with client payment systems and existing business software to trigger billing events based on predefined contract terms.

The service has been described as targeting professional services firms, including accounting and bookkeeping providers. Reports have also noted a partnership with the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, through which the platform is made available to its members.

Funding

In December 2021, Anchor raised $15 million in seed funding in a round co-led by Rapyd Ventures, Entrée Capital, and Tal Ventures, marking its first external investment following its emergence from stealth. The funding was intended to support team expansion, product development, and go-to-market activities.

In January 2025, Anchor raised $20 million in a Series A funding round led by Mosaic General Partnership and Zeev Ventures, with participation from existing investors Entrée Capital and Tal Ventures. The round was also covered by multiple startup and financial media outlets. Reports indicated that the funding would be used to expand operations, strengthen the company’s presence in the United States, and develop partnerships.

Notable investors

Andre Iguodala, a four-time NBA champion with the Golden State Warriors and the 2015 NBA Finals MVP, led Anchor's Series A through his Mosaic General Partnership. Iguodala has also been active as an investor in technology startups.
