Ana Belen Martin Bernabeu

Ana Belen Martin Bernabeu, Spanish pianist born in Madrid on January 1, 1982. She started her MusicAL studies at the age of 6 years old. Studied in the "Real Conservatorio Superior de Musica de Madrid" (the Superior Royal Music Conservatory of Madrid) with teacher Rafael Solis, getting her piano teacher diploma and instrumentist in 1999.

She was selected at 14 years old to participate in 3 editions of the "Escuela de Verano Para Jovenes Pianistas, Lucena" (a school for young Spanish musicians).

In 1999, she started the High Level Degree in the same institution with pianist Julian Lopez Gimeno, finishing in 2003. An Erasmus Scholarship was given to her for studying in Leipzig's conservatory, Germany, with Professor Markus Tomas and Hagen Schwarzrock.

In these years, she received masterclasses from Almudena Cano, Claudio Martinez Menher, Joaquin Achucarro, Detlef Kaiser, Ferenc Rados, Laszlo Somphai, Manuel Carra and Antonio Iglesias.

Now she studies with professor and Dutch pianist Hans Eijsackers(Utrecht's Conservatory).

She has won the "Andres Segovia" prize for her Spanish music interpretation in the XLVII edition of "Musica en Compostela".(2004)

As a performer, she has played in the "Muziek Gebow aan 'TIj" Amsterdam, "Auditorio Principe de Asturias" Madrid, "Nikolay Kerk" Utrecht, "Universidad de Toledo", Leipzig, Maagdeburg, Cordoba.

As a chamber music performer, she is member of the contemporary ensembleChromakey, (formed by composers Richard Weenstra,Wouter van der Vaal, harpist Liesbeth Vreeburg and violinist Iren Touporia); Member of the "Kirey Trio" (classical trio with violinist Frances Planella and Chelist Catarina Ferreira) and forms duo with tenor Javier Yang-Garin.
