An Uzi at the Alamo

An Uzi at the Alamo is a feature-length comedy film, released in 2005 by Scarred Heel Productions, Inc. The film was written, produced And Co-directed by Chris Sparling. The film played a number of art house theaters, including the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema and the Columbus Theater in Providence, Rhode Island before being released on NetFlix.

Plot

Frustrated scribe Alec Thames, exhausted by an endless search for individuality, announces to his unstable family that he'll kill himself on his 25th birthday. As the momentous day nears, however, Alec finds love and hope -- but fears his family will see him as even more of a failure if he doesn't go through with his [...] plans.

Production

Production on An Uzi at the Alamo took place over fifteen days in and around Providence, Rhode Island in the summer of 2003. Additional shooting occurred months later in Los Angeles, California. Editing was completed at Rockport College in Camden, Maine, which has since come under new management and was subsequently renamed the Maine Media Workshops.

Soundtrack

The original score for the film was created by Bob Fine. Soundtrack songs were contributed by Rune, Aberdeen City, and State of Corruption.
