Amy Alisara Arirachakaran

Amy Alisara Arirachakaran (born1986, Thai: อลิศรา อารีราชการัณย์) is a Thai figure skater. She represented Thailand in the 2003 Asian Winter Games, the Junior Grand Prix, Skate Asia, and the 1st Hong Kong Bauhinia Cup Figure Skating Invitational.

Biography

Arirachakaran was born in Oklahoma. The Arirachakarans returned to Bangkok , where she was enrolled at the International School Bangkok. She graduated from the International School Bangkok in 2004, and then commenced university studies at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor.

Arirachakaran began figure skating at the age of 4 while still in Oklahoma. Upon returning to Thailand, she continued skating at the World Ice Skating Center inside the World Trade Center shopping complex, which is now Central World Plaza. At the age of 16, she was the first Thai skater residing in Thailand to pass the ISI Freestyle 8 and went on to represent Thailand. Arirachakaran's last event was the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating at Long Beach, California before beginning university studies at the University of Michigan.

Her coach while representing Thailand was first Christopher Marr, then Wei Zhang, who had represented China in the 1999 Asian Winter Games.
